About Us

BCCAACN is the Broward County Chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Our goal is to improve the quality of acute and critical-care nursing throughout Broward County and project a positive image of our profession.

BCCAACN was organized in 1972 and has continued to hold regular educational meetings and a yearly spring seminar since that time. We are a Florida provider for nursing education and our lectures and seminars are granted contact hours from AACN. We also sponsor CCRN and PCCN review courses, which prepare nurses for their national certification exams.  In cooperation with the Dade and Palm Beach chapters, we held regional seminars which were the first organized in Florida.

Throughout our history, our organization has supported members by participating in issues that concern acute and critical care nurses and by providing them with current information and knowledge to assist them to provide their patients and families with the best care possible.
